Yeah, I know what you mean. Recently I drew this robot and coloured it entirely in neon highlighters (slightly obsessed with neon right now), which is all well and good, buthighlighters don't scan too well =/
Which is what they're designed for I suppose... not to show up on photocopiers and the like =P
nice! good to see that you made it again. i'm an ex-penaholic. still have a plastic bag full of them though. currently the addiction for art supplies has overtaken all others by far. :D
Ahh Pen Paradise!! Funny to find out just how many Penaholics there are, I have to confess to be addicted as well. Like Claudine Pitt pens are it for me at the moment.
I know what you mean! And when someone wants to borrow a pen from me...you know, a regular, non-artist person, I shudder because they press down on the delicate point and NEVER remember to replace the cap!! No wonder I need therapy :P
OMG, I used to be such a penaholic in high-school!!! I spent all my money on new-shinny pens. Not anymore though...I can barely find one when I need to write something down!
I can definitely relate - I'm actually such a pen/pencil nerd I bought one of those things from the hardware store that is supposed to house nails, bolts, screws, etc., and made it my portable writing implement case. Pretty nerdy, huh?
hey!! iknow some people who loves pen too... a couple of friends and is so vicious, love write with them!!! like willie!!! hey like it!
ReplyDeleteDo they have a rehab for your condition? Cute idea:)
ReplyDeleteHeh! I like the black/white and red simplicity of the colors. So what exactly are the symptoms of a "penaholic" besides a mass of pens?
ReplyDeleteGreat mood set with simple lines! Very fun!
ReplyDeleteOoo you're fast! I like this though, nice and and simple. TExt is a bit hard to read though =/
ReplyDeletePens are indeed awesome. It's like when you go into a stationary shop and you want EVERYTHING.
Splendid!

ReplyDeleteI thought about drawing a paradise of little flowering paintbrushes, little pokey pens, and trees ripe with cans of tempura...
ReplyDeleteI tend to collect buttons and fabric remnants. I guess this probably means I'm not an artist, but a seamstress.
Your linework is brilliant. I always find myself saying (to myself), "oh. yes!" when I come here. There's always so much to see in your work.
