Surrounded. Again.

What if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?
Just askin' is all...

Illustration Friday - Clean?

Ladders, ladders everywhere. Ok, stay with me here. I had nothing for clean. Zippity. So I thought, clean contains the word "lean" and ladders lean, so I decided to make the definitive ladder post. Below is a new ladder, and underneath are links to many of my favorite ladder drawings from past posts. I love ladders. I love what they symbolize for me. Enjoy. And remember: keep climbing.

Out of the fire
Scotch tape ladder
I'm not
No know
Truth ladder
How can I possibly die?
Ladder puzzle
Ladder with bleeding ring
No pain, no gain
Does life matter?
Clear vision
Why not?
Plan life? Ha!
Only one question
All my fault
Wacky ladder
I had a dream about a cheetah, and in it, I was Jesus.
Sex ladder
Ladder with door
Black heart
Another meaningless sketchbook
It's crazy in here
I really do
Four ladders and one flower
How I eventually came to know nothing at all
All I can do is enough
Fallen ladders
There is no reason
See where you need to go
Box with ladder
Ladder with boobs
I really do hate being sick
Is there anything left to ask?
What would happen?
Hand, eyes and ladder
What am I a slave to?
A very complicated life
Ladders with keyhole
Climbing out
My path
Pay attention

#10: Inspire

Another creative volley with Jen. I have always been inspired by typography, and it is often a part of my drawings. I love when letters connect in crazy ways. :-)

Lu*** finally gets her due!

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away there was a contest about a castle. One of the winners was a young lass named Lu***. Due to technical difficulties, harrowing travel schedules, and my laziness, she is just now getting her long overdue prize. ¡felicitaciones!

Illustration Friday - Sacrifice

When we don't take care of ourselves, we risk our health, and ultimately our lives. The ultimate sacrifice. And to take care of ourselves we may have to sacrifice short term pleasures, and focus on our larger purpose.

Sometimes, that ain't fun.

Have a glorious day!

Another contest: guess where this airport is?

You may remember the last contest, where the winners got their portraits drawn (including one loser). :-)
This contest will be similar. You can guess up to 3 cities, and I reserve the right to disqualify you people who are insiders and already know the answer. So play fair, be a good winner (or loser) and compete with gusto. Exact prize(s) and number of winners to be determined by me. Heh heh. There may be a special bonus prize for the most inspired entry. May the force be with you.

Make of this what you will :-)

you gotta put up with the rain."

Illustration Friday - Skyline

In the shadow of the city I often wonder.

Illustration Friday - Sticky

This is what life looks like from the point of view of a packet of ketchup that has been stepped on. Which by the way, is very STICKY.
