This reminds me of an original Joy of Cooking (not the new edition that Ethan butchered ;) ) recipe called "Supreme of Old Hen". "Supreme of Old Hen" is compared to a mature woman "trying to regain her youthful allure with a gaudy sartorial trappings" and that "Supreme of Old Hen" "makes such a good dish out of a poorish bird that the old girl is still an acceptable morsel."
This drawing reminded me of that... Well, except your chicken looks like she still has a few good eggs in'er.
That's one big huckin' chicken...all vougued and ready to strut her stuff...she musta visted Paree...now they can't keep her down on the farm! Big smiles here:>>>>>
Haha, funny! First I thought it was a rooster dressed with a hat to pretend to be a hen, to be able to get into the henhouse and find some fiiiine ladies in there he could have some fun with. ;)
