This reminds me of my life! Great take on the subject and as always really good design. By the way.... which way did you go? (Don't answer: All of them, that would give away your secrets.)
goin' to houston! i'll be in your neck of the woods next week, but the real answer is: in the right direction, i believe, but i tend to stumble a lot...
Sometimes the "safe" route doesn't yield the best results overall! Funny, today Ernesto is hitting our area and my first decision was which direction do I travel that is overall the "safest!"GREAT job!!!!
Your creativity asounds and imspires me every time I check back into your blog.
a lot to think about in this simple and funny drawing
Life is a wacky trip on a double roundabout. Is it a one-way road? Do we get to circle back in the next lifetime?

Veru clever...like you always are! Is creative your middle name?
A fun take on a traditional road sign. You're smart to portray all the dead ends, as there are definitely plenty of those in life. Also love the arrows in the type. Very smart design! Have yourself a fun holiday weekend, Willie!
I'll let you know when I get there!
Very philosophical! I love the way you use text to fill space. BTW I took a page from your book for IF this week: the quick sketch.
Great sketch! I feel this has been me for the past month or so. Life well illustrated.
great idea! clever too! love it!
Which way am I going???Does Crazy count?
haha great concept and design!
Great take on the theme (once again!) I like the color too, very nice :)
You are so creative!!!!
I don't think the safe route is the best at this moment.Nice concept, dear friend!
Fascinating sign, great work; though safe isn't always right.
looks like quite the opposite actually! very cool sign!
Man, I wonder what someone could've said to get the dreaded " This post has been removed by the blog administrator."??? I know I don't wanna go out THAT way! :P
cowboydogThis way, that way, the other way.Or maybe the way that no one has ever thought of.
What a great illo! Time to live on the edge & enjoy all the paths, natch!Smooch,The Tart; *
no safe place anymore?
Life is so complicated. I think you nailed it!
It looks like a very exciting way. Now I'm going by bike, so I would take the way with wind at my back - and hope, I'll end the right place
Well THIS certainly strikes a chord, doesn't it. Great conceptualization.
What is safe? One persons fear is anothers delight. Love the maze like higgled de piggled arrows on the sign!
Great visual metaphor, Willie! The way you pack so much meaning into simple drawings is wonderful:> You are a -maz-ing!
I ask myself this all the time. Funny thing is, the things I once thought were the safe options (getting married, having kids), now seems to be the real risky, adventurous routes, even if they are the ones more travelled.
Cool and thought provoking...the Rrrrramone way :-)
Sometimes staying home seems like the safest thing...but I can scare myself too. The sign reminds me of driving in San Francisco yesterday!
hehe, sometimes I really don't know where I'm going!This isn't helping...Looks good though
yes, i am, Willie !!!i'm flying ;-)))))really cool !!!Hugs !!!
so many forks in the road, its hard to know! perfect illo!
One should be glad real road signs are a bit easier.
Safey is just an illusion really. Sort of like your road signs.
Your simple drawings always make a clear point. This one is no exception. Makes me happy that I don't have to commute every morning.
okay okay...I'll let you know my secret...I'm really a mermaid...emersed by the sea of los angeles...still trying to find my way...didn't mean to hit you with my water...thanks...I love this drawing funny how the cloud looks like a snail...but maybe that was on purpose...however do snails move faster without their shells...and why do snails have shells anyway?let me know if you care to research...vice versa...
...which way? I still don't really know... But I'll come to visit you again. That's for sure :) Great work!
Good idea. Nicely done.
i added a link to your site on http://30dayartist.comgreat stuff!
good question .... are you?
Safe route?! Where's the fun in that? ;) Loved your silver lining photo. I linked to it (hope you don't mind). It was just so perfect for the day I was having.
Where I'm from, these are the normal road signs. None of them are safe.
Fabulous illustration! No such thing as a safe route anymore, no matter how much people like to pretend there is. Sigh.
Depends... taking "safe" route sometimes comes at the price of sacrificing the best views! I go for the view -- stupid at times, but sure makes for interesting stories. I bet you can tell about some roads less traveled;)
that color is beautiful!i'm going straight to hell, if i don't change my ways! ;)
wiw! tgat tutakkt oios1translation: "Wow! That totally pops!"I'm gonna burn that toast unless I keep an eye on it!(some seconds later...)I fookin' burned the toast.Okay well this is the unburnished untarnished full bodied truth: this morning I woke up and said THIS is the morning when I go over to Willie's and say hi! And ya beat me to it! Cool!real nice illos as per your usual :^)
i think this just about sums up what im feeling now. hence, i need to ask you some things about art school... meh..
Thanks for stopping by! :-)Willie
