  1. Hey, Willie! Glad to have you back in the States.

You are so existential with these last two entries. I am SO wearing a beret and snapping my fingers for you. ; - D

  4. Nope. You'll have to explain. Clearly I'm confused -- but I do know what I like and this is included.

  5. someone once told me I had very clear eyes. I liked that! as ones eyes are the window to the soul, as some say, i thought that mean they could see into me.

thanks for sharing pages from your sketchbook, i love seeing sketches, sometimes even more than finished work. Also, I really like where you are going with the overlapping in your belated birthday sketch, nice approach.

  7. What's clear?

Naiad tears. Dragonfly wings. Bells ringing in the desert. The nictating membrane on a dragon's eye.

  10. No, I can't say anything really is Willie. Anyway, love the symbolism in your work and your approach.

  11. Yes some things are clear...California's cloudless skies...but wait, there's smog...well, how about...er...um....well maybe not? It was fun visiting again and seeing your curious drawings. Loved the one with the foot watching football (or was it baseball--I'm not clear on that).

  12. This makes me think of the saying "clear as mud" - a crazy philosophical take on clarity which asks more questions than it answers...

  15. Probably not. I know my head isn't clear right now, but I dig the drawing. Clearly!

  16. The tears from the eye are picked up by the truck, driven up the TV, and used to water the flower! What's not to understand? :)

Super question - no, nothing is clear in that mind. But I must say some things seem more clear at some times than other.

I see a TV. I see the road ahead. And I see a huge question mark.

If I get my guidance from the media, I will be a lost soul indeed.

    Thought provoking.

  24. I really like both this illustration and the one entitled "Life is?" I like that they are not an answer so much as a question, inviting the viewer to think and interact. Very cool.

  25. mmmh i'll think about that. intriquing illo!

  26. This is a real head-scratcher. I like your work because it's always so thought provoking.
