Holy cup! It is letting me post a comment -- yah!!! OK, I will start my Willie rhapsody (or will it be too embarrassing to you?).Great line, clever interpretation -- great job as always! Purrrfect... wait, that would be hellcat's line!
Your keenly-observed sketch also gives me a chance to reflect on: Is the cup half-empty (below the line), half-full (above the line) or half-fast (shadows and/or motion lines under the handle)?
Man, if only this would happen when my "almost out of ink" pens were close to running out. They could just regenerate themselves....and the scissors, they would resharpen. Oh, if imagination worked that way....
neat :D
ReplyDeleteBe careful...the cross breeding between writing utensils and scissors can cause some very strange offspring:>
ReplyDeleteLove the contrast of the detailed pens, pencils, and scissors in the very spare mug.
There is something very spontaneous and cool about this. BTW: A late response to say that I loved your "red" post.

ReplyDeletean impessive crop! i can only imagine what delicious things the birds and bees doing under the rim...
ReplyDeleteGreat concept and drawing! I really like the golden parchment look to some of your recent pieces.
ReplyDeleteThis is more than a freak occurance!
ReplyDeleteAll my pens disappear; I think my mugs must eat them.
ReplyDeleteHowever, pens have been known to sprout under my daughter's bed and an armchair in the living room sprouts them under the cushion.
A mug would be a far more convenient.
haha sounds and looks familiar!! did you take a peek on my desk? clever take!!

ReplyDeleteOoooh! Magic pen sprouting cup, I gotta get me one of those.
ReplyDeleteI love this one... the crossing line gives it a very interesting feeling. Great work.
