I suppose the answer is: everything is small and thank God that dreadful burger with his yucky salad, too! Oh, there was no question. Well... (a good linework always awakens words in me)
So is the Ketchup packet looking towards fast food heaven? I thought I spotted a heavenly milkshake looking down on it, telling it to "come to the light."
PS: I think McNuggets get stuck in limbo by default.
Condiment package life. Months (sometimes years) of listless boredom, then - sudden, rupturous death at the hands of a patron or the foot of a passerby. We must all take a moment and reflect upon the injustices and incongruities of existence.
How existentialist of you, Willie. A rather weighty treatment of this week's topic, I'd say.
This reminds me of one of Dav Pilkey's Captain Underpants books (my kids love the series) where George and Harold put packets of ketchup under toilet seats and when someone sits down they burst all over the place making a big ketchuppy mess, this is called making "squishies".
Nice drawing, a very original point of view (pun intended) I like the ripe-to-burstingness quality of the tomato on the packet.
Here in southern Africa ketchup is known as "tomato sauce". It took me several nasty pasta sauce cooking experiences to figure out that it wasn't the same product I knew back in the US.
Literate ketchup would say "been down so long it looks like up to me."
ReplyDeleteHey, are you and Dave MacIntyre in some sort of ketchup cabal?
Great POV, WB!
I love it...the point of view of an inanimate object ~ very Tom Robbins! Thanks for your comment on my "D" ~ sure, for Dallas!
